Software

Here you'll find some information about the software that I wrote alone or together with other people.

Fourty Pound Sparrow

The Fourty Pound Sparrow (or short: FPS) is a MUD client written by Graveluth (Axel Springer) and me to be Evermores very own specialised client.
Unlike other clients the Fourty Pound Sparrow is not a do-it-all client, instead it was created to make the experience of playing in Evermore as enjoyable as possible by supporting the player at tasks like configuring the in-game ANSI colours. It is still under development, so many more features will be added in the future.

Features

  • written in Java 5: runs on every platform (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, ...)
  • direct login to Evermore at startup
  • auto-updater (never miss the release of a new version again!)
  • configurable key shortcuts (and thus numpad walking)
  • command history
  • configurable command echo
  • command-completion via tab-key
  • multiline input (embedded or in a separate window)
  • client-side configuration of in-game ANSI colours
  • scrollback buffer
  • help-dialog with complete Introduction to Evermore for offline reading
  • etc. etc. ...

Download

The client is freeware and can be downloaded here. It can be used free of charge and be freely copied and redistributed, but currently it is not open source (possibly until we deem it finished and complete).
